Erin McGinnis is a retired American professional basketball player known for her exceptional performance in both collegiate and professional leagues. Born on March 12, 1990, in Phoenix, Arizona, McGinnis attended the University of Kentucky, where she was a standout player for the Kentucky Wildcats women's basketball team. During her college career, she earned All-SEC honors and led her team to multiple NCAA tournament appearances, solidifying her reputation as one of the premier guards in collegiate basketball.
Following her collegiate career, McGinnis was selected in the second round of the WNBA Draft by the Seattle Storm in 2012. Over the course of her five-year career in the league, McGinnis played for the Seattle Storm and the Chicago Sky, where she became known for her scoring ability, defensive prowess, and leadership on the court. She was instrumental in leading the Sky to the playoffs in her final season before announcing her retirement in 2017.
