Ernest Foster (born November 23, 1873) was a notable English cricketer who played as a right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium-fast bowler. He represented Sussex County Cricket Club from 1898 to 1912, establishing a reputation for his consistent batting performances and impressive fielding skills. Foster made his first-class debut at the age of 24, quickly becoming an integral part of the team during his tenure.
Throughout his career, Foster participated in 278 first-class matches, accumulating over 10,000 runs, including 18 centuries. He was particularly celebrated for his ability to play long innings and anchor the batting lineup during critical matches.
