Ewen Chatfield, born on July 3, 1950, in Wellington, New Zealand, is a former cricketer who represented the New Zealand national team as a fast-medium bowler. He made his Test debut against Pakistan in 1973 and played a significant role in New Zealand cricket during the 1970s and 1980s. Over his international career, which spanned from 1973 to 1987, he participated in 43 Test matches and 84 One Day Internationals (ODIs).
Chatfield was known for his pinpoint accuracy and ability to swing the ball, making him a formidable opponent on both home and away pitches. He achieved notable success in Test cricket, with his best bowling figures being 7 for 40 against Australia at Wellington in 1974.
