Fernando Carmona is a former professional American football linebacker who played in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons. He was born on April 12, 1985, in San Diego, California. Carmona played college football at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he earned recognition for his defensive skills and tackling ability, culminating in selection during the 2007 NFL Draft.
Carmona was selected in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the New York Giants.
