Francisco de Assis de Jesus, commonly known as Assis, is a retired Brazilian footballer born on February 6, 1972, in Coração de Jesus, Brazil. Primarily occupying the position of attacking midfielder, Assis began his professional career in the early 1990s and quickly gained recognition for his technical skills and creative playmaking abilities. He is most notable for his time at Grêmio, where he helped the team secure the Copa do Brasil and the Copa Libertadores title in the mid-1990s.
