Biography
Frank Rooney (born February 12, 1985) is a former professional American football player who played as a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). Rooney was born in Los Angeles, California, and attended USC, where he had a standout collegiate career. He was selected in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the New York Giants.
Throughout his six-year career in the NFL, Rooney played with the New York Giants and later the Miami Dolphins. He recorded over 250 receptions and scored 20 touchdowns, becoming renowned for his exceptional speed and route-running ability. Rooney was a key contributor to the Giants’ playoff run in 2008, culminating in a Super Bowl victory against the New England Patriots.
After retiring from professional football in 2013, Rooney has remained active in promoting youth sports and encouraging community engagement through various charitable endeavors.
