Biography
Frank Whitcombe Jr. (born July 21, 1936) was a prominent Rugby Union player from Wales, recognized for his exceptional skills in the front row as a prop. He made his debut for the Welsh national team in 1957 and went on to earn 28 caps over a distinguished international career, contributing to Wales' successes in the Five Nations Championship during the late 1950s.
Whitcombe's club career was primarily associated with Cardiff RFC, where he became a key figure in the team's forward pack. His strength, technique, and leadership on the field played a significant role in Cardiff RFC's triumphs, including numerous Welsh domestic championships throughout the 1960s.
