Biography
Fred Dryer, born on July 6, 1946, is a former professional American football defensive end and actor. He played college football at San Diego State University, where he earned All-American honors. Dryer was selected in the first round of the 1969 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams, beginning a successful career in the National Football League.
Over his 13-year NFL career, Dryer was known for his outstanding defensive skills and playmaking abilities. He amassed a total of 103 sacks, becoming one of the league's top pass rushers during his tenure. Dryer achieved significant recognition as a two-time Pro Bowl selection and was a key contributor to the Rams’ appearance in Super Bowl XIV.
Following his football career, Dryer transitioned into acting, becoming best known for his role as Sergeant Rick Hunter on the television series "Hunter." His contributions to both sports and entertainment have solidified his legacy as a notable figure in American culture, admired for both his athletic prowess and his work in Hollywood.
