Fred Moon is a retired professional basketball player known for his exceptional skills as a shooting guard. Born on January 12, 1985, in Chicago, Illinois, he gained prominence during his high school career at Lincoln Park High School, where he led his team to a state championship. He later played college basketball at the University of Illinois, earning All-American honors and solidifying his status as a top prospect in the 2007 NBA Draft.
Moon was selected in the second round of the draft by the New York Knicks, where he quickly made a name for himself with his sharp shooting and tenacious defense. During his six-year NBA career, he played for several teams including the Charlotte Bobcats and the San Antonio Spurs, contributing to the Spurs' 2014 championship run.
