Biography
Garfield Sobers, born on July 28, 1936, in Bridgetown, Barbados, is widely regarded as one of the greatest cricketers of all time. He made his Test debut for the West Indies in 1954 at the age of 17, quickly establishing himself as a versatile all-rounder. Sobers excelled in all formats of the game, known for his aggressive batting, effective seam, and spin bowling, along with exceptional fielding skills.
Throughout his illustrious career, Sobers achieved numerous milestones, including being the first player to score 365 not out in a Test match, a record that stood for decades. He played 93 Test matches from 1954 to 1974, accumulating over 8,000 runs and claiming more than 230 wickets.
