Gary Lytle, born on April 15, 1985, in Atlanta, Georgia, is a retired American professional basketball player known for his speed and shooting accuracy. He played college basketball at the University of North Carolina, where he was instrumental in leading the Tar Heels to the NCAA Championship game in 2005. Lytle was recognized for his exceptional skills, earning All-ACC honors during his collegiate career.

Following his college success, Lytle was selected in the second round of the 2007 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks. He had a productive, albeit brief, career in the NBA, playing for three teams, including the Knicks, Charlotte Bobcats, and the Toronto Raptors.
