Born on April 15, 1985, in Chicago, Illinois, Talmadge gained prominence as a standout guard at the University of Illinois, where he played from 2003 to 2007. After college, Talmadge entered the 2007 NBA Draft but ultimately signed with the Dakota Wizards of the NBA Development League.
