George Macaulay was a prominent English cricketer born on December 7, 1897. He played as a right-handed batsman and was known for his off-spin bowling. His first-class career spanned from 1919 to 1939, during which he represented Yorkshire and, later, Gloucestershire, accumulating over 13,000 runs and taking more than 1,400 wickets.
