George Spreng (born July 12, 1985) is a retired professional basketball player known for his contributions to the sport during his collegiate and professional career. He played college basketball at the University of North Carolina, where he was a standout guard, earning All-Conference honors and helping lead his team to the NCAA Tournament. Spreng was recognized for his exceptional scoring ability, defensive skills, and high basketball IQ.

Following his collegiate success, Spreng was selected in the second round of the 2007 NBA Draft by the New Orleans Hornets, where he made an immediate impact as a key rotation player.
