Gerald McCoy, born on February 25, 1988, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is a former professional American football defensive tackle known for his impactful career in the National Football League (NFL). McCoy played college football at the University of Oklahoma, where he emerged as a dominant force and earned consensus All-American honors. He was selected third overall in the 2010 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, marking the beginning of a prolific career.
During his time with the Buccaneers from 2010 to 2017, McCoy established himself as one of the premier defensive tackles in the league, earning six Pro Bowl selections and three First-team All-Pro honors.
