Gordy Soltau, born on January 25, 1925, was an American football player who made significant contributions as a wide receiver and kicker in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Michigan, where he earned All-American honors for his impressive performance on the field. Following his collegiate career, Soltau was selected in the 1946 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers, marking the beginning of his professional athletic journey.
