Granny Lash, born on November 12, 1955, in Salisbury, North Carolina, is a former professional basketball player renowned for her exceptional skills on the court. Known for her strategic playmaking and sharp shooting, she played the guard position and became one of the pioneering figures in women’s basketball during the late 1970s and early 1980s. After a successful collegiate career at North Carolina State University, Lash was selected in the inaugural draft of the Women’s Professional Basketball League (WPBL) in 1978.
