Gérard Larrousse, born on May 23, 1940, in Paris, France, is a former French racing driver and team principal best known for his career in Formula 1 during the 1960s and 1970s. He competed in 86 Grands Prix, driving for several teams including Ferrari, Matra, and his own Larrousse team. Larrousse achieved a notable career highlight in 1972 when he secured his best race result, finishing third at the French Grand Prix.
In addition to his driving career, Larrousse was instrumental in establishing the Larrousse Formula 1 team in the late 1980s.
