Gérard Solvès is a retired French professional tennis player, born on April 7, 1968. He turned professional in the late 1980s and gained prominence on the ATP Tour during the early 1990s. Known for his powerful groundstrokes and competitive spirit, Solvès achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 39 in 1991.
Throughout his career, Solvès reached the singles semifinals at the 1991 Canadian Open, showcasing his ability to compete at higher-tier events. In doubles, he enjoyed greater success, winning four ATP titles and reaching a career-high doubles ranking of No. 12 in 1996.
