Greg Biekert, born on March 14, 1969, in New Ulm, Minnesota, is a former professional American football linebacker who played in the National Football League (NFL) from 1992 to 2002. He played college football at the University of Minnesota before being selected by the Los Angeles Raiders in the seventh round of the 1992 NFL Draft. Biekert quickly established himself as a reliable player known for his tackling ability and football intelligence.
During his NFL career, Biekert spent the majority of his time with the Oakland Raiders, where he played from 1992 to 1999, before finishing his career with the Minnesota Vikings in 2001 and the San Diego Chargers in 2002. He achieved notable success as a leader on the defense, earning a reputation as a hard-hitting linebacker and accumulating over 100 tackles in several seasons.
