Greg Hardy, born on July 28, 1988, in Gastonia, North Carolina, is a former American football defensive end and defensive tackle. He attended the University of Mississippi, where he played college football for the Ole Miss Rebels. Hardy gained recognition for his athleticism and strength, leading to his selection by the Carolina Panthers in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft.
During his tenure with the Panthers, Hardy became known for his disruptive play on defense, culminating in a standout 2013 season where he recorded 15 sacks, earning him a Pro Bowl selection and First-Team All-Pro honors. His performance helped the Panthers secure a spot in the NFC playoffs, establishing him as one of the league's top pass rushers.
