Greg Joseph, born on August 4, 1994, in Johannesburg, South Africa, is a professional American football placekicker currently competing in the National Football League (NFL). Joseph’s early athletic pursuits included soccer and rugby before he transitioned to American football, garnering attention for his kicking abilities during his high school career. He further developed his skills at Florida Atlantic University, where he became a standout performer and set several school records.
After going undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft, Joseph signed with the Miami Dolphins, marking the beginning of his professional career. He played four games for the Dolphins before being waived, subsequently joining the practice squad of the Cleveland Browns. His breakthrough came in 2018 when he earned the starting kicker position with the Browns and became known for his powerful leg and accuracy under pressure, notably converting a game-winning field goal against the Baltimore Ravens.
