Guillermo Rigondeaux, born on September 30, 1980, in Santiago de Cuba, is a Cuban professional boxer and two-time Olympic gold medalist. He began his amateur career at a young age, quickly gaining recognition for his exceptional skill and tactical acumen in the ring. Rigondeaux became the first Cuban boxer to win gold medals in back-to-back Olympic events, claiming the top prize in the bantamweight division at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and again in the 2004 Athens Olympics.

He captured the WBA super bantamweight title in 2013, becoming the first fighter to unify the WBA and WBO titles in the division.
