Harry Weinbrecht is a former professional basketball player known for his exceptional skills as a shooting guard during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Born on March 12, 1955, in Syracuse, New York, he demonstrated remarkable athletic ability throughout his youth, leading to a standout high school career. He played college basketball at the University of North Carolina, where he was recognized for his scoring and playmaking abilities, eventually earning All-American honors.
Weinbrecht was selected in the second round of the 1977 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. Over the course of his five-year career in the NBA, he played for the 76ers, as well as the San Antonio Spurs and the Denver Nuggets, averaging 11.6 points per game. His time in the league was marked by a notable performance during the 1980 playoffs, where he played a crucial role in helping the 76ers advance to the NBA Finals.
