Heath Scotland, born on July 21, 1980, is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played as a midfielder in the Australian Football League (AFL) for the Collingwood Football Club and the Carlton Football Club. Drafted in 1998 with pick 58 in the AFL Draft, Scotland made his debut for Collingwood in 1999 and enjoyed a promising start to his career. Over his seven seasons with the Magpies, he became known for his versatility and skill, participating in 105 games.
In 2006, Scotland transferred to Carlton, where he became a key player for the club and solidified his reputation as a dependable midfielder. He played a remarkable 228 games for the Blues, achieving numerous personal milestones including the 2007 Best and Fairest award. Scotland was instrumental in Carlton's resurgence in the late 2000s, helping the team reach the finals in several seasons and being a central figure during this period.
