Heinz Günthardt, born on February 8, 1959, in Zurich, Switzerland, is a former professional tennis player and current commentator known for his contributions to the sport. He turned professional in 1977 and had a successful career in singles and doubles, achieving a career-high singles ranking of No. 22 in 1983 and winning four ATP singles titles. Notably, Günthardt reached the fourth round at Wimbledon and the quarterfinals at the US Open in 1983.
In doubles, Günthardt found greater success, partnering with various players throughout his career, which culminated in a career-high doubles ranking of No. 10 in 1985.
