Biography
Henry Ellard, born on July 21, 1961, in Los Angeles, California, is a former professional American football wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 16 seasons. He was selected in the second round of the 1983 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams, where he quickly established himself as a standout player. Notable for his speed and precise route-running, Ellard became known as one of the league's premier receivers during the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Throughout his career, Ellard recorded impressive statistics, including 814 receptions for 13,777 receiving yards and 65 touchdown catches. He was selected for the Pro Bowl three times (1988, 1989, and 1993) and earned First-Team All-Pro honors in 1988. His remarkable ability to make big plays earned him league-wide recognition, and he remains one of the top ten all-time leaders in several receiving categories.
