Hoby Brenner, born on June 2, 1959, is a former professional American football player who gained recognition as a tight end in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Notre Dame, where he was an integral part of the team's success, contributing to their national championship victory in 1988. Brenner was selected in the third round of the 1984 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints, where he began his professional career.
During his time with the Saints from 1984 to 1992, Brenner established himself as one of the team's reliable offensive weapons. He amassed a total of 227 receptions for 2,510 yards and scored 20 touchdowns over his nine-year tenure, making him one of the most productive tight ends of his era.
