Biography
Ian McCoshen is an American professional ice hockey defenseman born on August 5, 1995, in Hudson, Wisconsin. He played junior hockey for the Waterloo Black Hawks in the United States Hockey League (USHL) before moving on to collegiate hockey at Boston College, where he developed his skills and showcased his potential as a reliable defensive player. During his time at Boston College, McCoshen contributed to the team's success, earning a reputation as a strong two-way defenseman.
In 2013, McCoshen was selected in the second round, 31st overall, by the Florida Panthers in the NHL Entry Draft. He turned professional in 2016, joining the Panthers' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Portland Pirates, and later the Springfield Thunderbirds.
