Biography
Žigmund Pálffy, born on May 5, 1972, in Handlová, Slovakia, is a former professional ice hockey player renowned for his offensive skills and playmaking ability. Pálffy began his professional career in the Czechoslovak Extraliga with HC Slovan Bratislava before making his transition to the National Hockey League (NHL) in 1993. He quickly made an impact in the NHL, showcasing his talent with the New York Islanders, and later with the Los Angeles Kings, where he established himself as a prolific scorer.
During his NHL career, which spanned over a decade, Pálffy recorded impressive statistics, accumulating over 800 points in regular-season play. He achieved a career-high of 96 points in the 1995-96 season, earning recognition as one of the top offensive players of his era.
