Ignacio Corleto, born on June 21, 1978, in La Plata, Argentina, is a retired professional Rugby Union player who made significant contributions to Argentine rugby. Primarily playing as a fullback or wing, Corleto began his career with the club La Plata Rugby Club before moving to Europe to further his professional career.
Corleto gained prominence during the late 1990s and early 2000s, representing the Argentine national team, known as the Pumas. He played in two Rugby World Cups, in 1999 and 2003, where he was instrumental in helping Argentina achieve notable victories, including a historic win against Ireland in the 2007 Rugby World Cup, which marked Argentina's resurgence on the world stage.
