Igor Novotný, born on April 26, 1962, is a retired professional ice hockey player from the Czech Republic. He played as a forward and is best known for his contributions to the Czechoslovak national team during the 1980s. Novotný began his professional career with HC Dukla Jihlava, where he developed his skills and gained recognition for his exceptional playmaking ability.
A highlight of Novotný's career came during the 1985 World Ice Hockey Championships, where he helped secure the silver medal for Czechoslovakia.
