Ilkka Sinisalo is a retired Finnish ice hockey forward born on July 10, 1958, in Helsinki, Finland. He began his professional career in 1975 with HIFK Helsinki in the Finnish SM-liiga, establishing himself as a prominent player in the league. Sinisalo's offensive prowess and playmaking ability quickly gained recognition, leading him to be drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft.
Over the course of his NHL career, which spanned from 1981 to 1991, Sinisalo played for the Philadelphia Flyers and the Vancouver Canucks.
