Biography
Ilya Sushko, born on December 28, 1997, in Belarus, is a professional ice hockey player known for his versatile playing style and contributions to both national and international teams. Sushko began his career in the Belarusian junior leagues, showcasing his talent early on and quickly advancing through the ranks. His performance earned him a place in the Belarusian national youth teams, where he began to gain recognition.
In 2015, Sushko moved to North America to further his career, joining the OHL's Owen Sound Attack. During his time in the OHL, he developed his skills and became an impactful forward, leading to a selection by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2020 NHL Draft. Sushko made his professional debut in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, where he continued to refine his game and demonstrate his potential as a future NHL player.
