Jack Capuano, born on July 7, 1966, in Cranston, Rhode Island, is a former professional ice hockey player and coach known for his contributions to the sport in the United States. A defenseman, Capuano began his junior career with the University of Maine, where he was notable for his strong physical play and hockey IQ. He was selected 83rd overall by the New York Islanders in the 1984 NHL Entry Draft and went on to play for various teams in the American Hockey League (AHL) and East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).
Capuano's professional playing career spanned from 1985 to 1992, during which he played primarily in the minor leagues, showcasing his leadership skills and commitment to the game. He transitioned to coaching, serving as an assistant coach for the Islanders and later as the head coach from 2010 to 2017.
