Jack Lambert is a former professional American football player, born on July 8, 1952, in Mantua, Ohio. He played as a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1974 to 1984. Known for his fierce playing style and exceptional defensive skills, Lambert was a key figure in the Steelers’ formidable defense during their run of four Super Bowl victories in the 1970s.
Lambert was selected by the Steelers in the second round of the 1974 NFL Draft, quickly establishing himself as a premier linebacker.
