Jack Plunkert is a retired professional basketball athlete known for his exceptional skills as a guard. Born on March 12, 1989, in Springfield, Illinois, he began his basketball journey at Springfield High School, where he earned All-State honors and captured the state championship in his senior year. Plunkert went on to play college basketball at the University of Illinois, where he was recognized for his scoring ability, playmaking, and defensive prowess, leading the team to a Big Ten title in 2010.
In 2011, Plunkert entered the NBA Draft and was selected in the second round, 35th overall, by the Orlando Magic. Throughout his six-season career in the NBA, he played for multiple teams, including the Orlando Magic and the Denver Nuggets, averaging career stats of 15.2 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game.
