Jake Chelios, born on March 8, 1991, in Bloomfield Township, Michigan, is a professional ice hockey defenseman from the United States. The son of NHL legend Chris Chelios, Jake was raised in a hockey-centric environment, which greatly influenced his passion for the sport. He showcased his talent at a young age and went on to play junior hockey with the U.S. National Development Team, followed by a collegiate career at Michigan State University.
Chelios was selected 120th overall by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, although he has yet to play in the NHL.
