James Lofton, born on July 5, 1956, in Fort Ord, California, is a former professional American football wide receiver who played 16 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He attended Stanford University, where he excelled as a wide receiver and earned All-American honors before being selected in the first round of the 1978 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers.
