James O'Flaherty is a retired American professional basketball player, recognized for his exemplary career in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and overseas leagues. Born on March 15, 1985, in Chicago, Illinois, he played college basketball at the University of Illinois, where he was instrumental in leading his team to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16. O'Flaherty declared for the NBA Draft after his junior year and was selected in the second round by the Boston Celtics in 2007.
During his NBA career, O'Flaherty made a notable impact as a versatile forward, praised for his scoring ability and defensive skills.
