Jamie Heward is a retired Canadian ice hockey player, born on March 30, 1971, in Edmonton, Alberta. He played as a defenseman and was known for his physical style of play and strong skating ability. Heward was selected in the 8th round, 204th overall, by the New York Islanders during the 1990 NHL Entry Draft.
Heward began his professional career in the International Hockey League (IHL) before making his NHL debut with the New York Islanders in the 1993-94 season. Throughout his career, he played for several teams, including the Tampa Bay Lightning, Atlanta Thrashers, and the Anaheim Ducks, accumulating over 200 games in the NHL and solidifying his reputation in both North American and European leagues.
