Jamie Kompon, born on September 18, 1966, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey player and prominent coach in the National Hockey League (NHL). As a forward, he played junior hockey with the Winnipeg Warriors in the Western Hockey League (WHL) before being drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the 1984 NHL Entry Draft. Kompon’s professional playing career included stints in the AHL and various minor leagues, though he did not achieve significant playing time in the NHL.
