Jan Oblak, born on January 7, 1993, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, is a professional footballer recognized as one of the world's elite goalkeepers. He began his youth career at Olimpija Ljubljana before moving to the Portuguese club Benfica in 2010, where he progressed through the ranks and made a significant impression. Oblak made his first-team debut for Benfica in 2013, helping the club win three consecutive Primeira Liga titles from 2013 to 2015.
In 2014, Oblak transferred to Atlético Madrid for a reported fee of €16 million, making him one of the most expensive goalkeepers at that time.
