Jane Thompson is a retired professional basketball player who gained recognition for her exceptional skills as a guard during her career in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Born on March 15, 1988, in Chicago, Illinois, she played college basketball at the University of Connecticut, where she was named a consensus All-American and led her team to two NCAA championships in 2009 and 2010. Thompson was selected as the 4th overall pick in the 2010 WNBA Draft by the Seattle Storm.
Throughout her ten-season career in the WNBA, Thompson was a six-time All-Star and earned the league's Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in 2015 after leading the Storm to the playoffs. She ranks among the league leaders in career three-point shooting percentage and assists, solidifying her reputation as one of the premier playmakers in women's basketball.
