Biography
Jani Hurme is a retired Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender, born on January 7, 1975, in Lapinlahti, Finland. He began his career in the Finnish leagues, notably playing for teams such as KalPa and Ilves, where he established himself as a skilled netminder with a promising future. Hurme's performances in domestic leagues caught the attention of international scouts, leading to opportunities in North America.
In 1997, Hurme made the transition to the National Hockey League (NHL) when he signed with the Florida Panthers. Over his NHL career, he played for several franchises, including the Panthers, the Atlanta Thrashers, and the Toronto Maple Leafs, showcasing his talents as a reliable goaltender.
