Jannik Hansen, born on March 15, 1986, in the Kingdom of Denmark, is a retired professional ice hockey player known for his versatile play and speed. Hansen played primarily as a right winger and is recognized for his contributions to both the Danish national team and several teams in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted in the ninth round, 287th overall, by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, marking the beginning of his long-standing professional career.
Hansen debuted in the NHL with the Vancouver Canucks during the 2007-2008 season and spent eight seasons with the franchise, where he became known for his work ethic and reliable two-way play.
