Jared Staal, born on August 21, 1990, in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey player known for his role as a forward. He was drafted 49th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in the second round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Staal is the youngest brother of NHL players Eric, Marc, and Jordan Staal, contributing to the family's prominence in the sport.
Staal began his junior career in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Sudbury Wolves before being traded to the Peterborough Petes, where he showcased his skills over multiple seasons.
