Jarome Iginla, born on July 1, 1977, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, is a former professional ice hockey player renowned for his scoring ability and leadership on the ice. He was selected by the Dallas Stars in the first round, 11th overall, of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft but was subsequently traded to the Calgary Flames before making his NHL debut. Iginla spent the majority of his career with the Flames, where he became the team's all-time leading scorer and earned a reputation as one of the most formidable power forwards in the league.
Throughout his illustrious career, Iginla achieved numerous accolades including two Rocket Richard Trophies as the NHL's leading goal scorer and the Hart Memorial Trophy as the league's Most Valuable Player in 2002.
