Jason McElwain (born October 1, 1987) is an American basketball athlete who gained national attention for his inspiring story as a high school player. He was diagnosed with autism at a young age, which presented various challenges throughout his early life. McElwain played for the Greece Athena High School basketball team in Rochester, New York, where he served as the team’s manager before being given the opportunity to play in a game during his senior year.
On February 15, 2006, during the last game of the season, McElwain made an unforgettable entrance onto the court, scoring 20 points in just under four minutes. His remarkable performance included six three-pointers, capturing the hearts of fans and showcasing his resilience and passion for the sport.
