Jatyjia Jones is a professional basketball athlete known for her outstanding skills on the court and significant contributions to women's basketball. Born in 1998 in Atlanta, Georgia, Jones rose to prominence during her high school career at Oak Hill Academy, where she averaged over 20 points per game and earned All-American honors. Her exceptional performance in high school led to a scholarship at the University of Connecticut, where she continued to garner attention as a prominent player.
During her collegiate career, Jones helped lead the UConn Huskies to several NCAA tournament appearances, culminating in a national championship in her junior year. She was recognized for her versatility and leadership, earning multiple All-Conference selections and setting records for points and assists in a single season. Following her graduation in 2020, she declared for the WNBA draft and was selected in the first round by the Minnesota Lynx.
